Steven Randall Shirley arrived on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville. He weighed eight pounds, 10 ounces and measured 20 inches lang. Steven is wel- comed home by his sister, eight-year old Lynn; and brother, three-year old Mason. Maternal grandparents are Dathan and Gloria San- tel of Trenton. Paternal grandparents are Larry and Mary Shirley of Lebanon. Surviving great grandpar- ents are Viola Brandmeyer of Albers, and Gilbert and Leoma Heller of Red Bud. / ......... This white male Shih Tzu/Beagle mix is available for adoption through Clinton County Animal Control, 17833 County Farm Raod, Carlyle, 594-4483. He is about a year old. A one and one-half year old Husky is also available this week. The brown-and-white Husky is a male. March blood drives in Clinton County Six blood drives are planned for Clinton Coun- ty by the American Red Cross in March. There will be a blood drive at Aviston American Legion on March 9 from 2 to 7 p.m., with food pro- vided for all presenting do- nors. A Carlyle Community Blood Drive will be March 12 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Case- Halstead Library's Mad- dux Community Room. Beckemeyer American Legion will host a St. Pat- rick's Day blood drive on March 17 from 3 to 7 p.m., with corned beef and cab- bage for all donors. New Baden and Breese will both have blood drives on March 18. In New Baden, the blood drive will operate from 1 to 6 p.m. at the civic center; in Breese, I to 6 p.m. at the American Legion. Finally, the Corps of En- gineers will have a blood drive at the Carlyle Lake Visitors Center March 19 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the bloodmobile.
