Wednesday, March 12, 2014 Trenton Sun Page 9 - SchoolLocal New Baden Elementary kindergarten enrollment New Baden Elementary kindergarten enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year is on Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 10, at New Baden Elementary• The state requires that a child must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2014 to be eligible for kindergarten enrollment. The appointment will include a kindergarten screening program as well as information regarding required immunizations and physical exam. The screening will take approx- imately one hour. Parents should bring their children's birth cer- tificates (the one from the county in which the child was born - not the hospital certificate) to the school on the day of screening. By mandate of the Illi- nois State Board of Educa- tion, the Board of Educa- tion ofWesclin CUSD # 3 is required to be able to prove that the students attending its schools are truly a resi- dent of this school district. This new system will include holdings from over 400 libraries. Merging is a monumental effort that requires much behind -the- scenes preparation.
