Post 778 Baseball Banquet Trenton American Legion Post 778's baseball program had its an- nual awards banquet and dinner Sunday afternoon at Jailhouse Rock in Trenton. Awards were presented to ju- nior and senior division players, including special awards honor- ing longtime past contributors to American Legion baseball here. Trenton's senior division team was host for the Illinois State Tour- nament this season, and placed fourth. They were runners-up in the 23rd district playoffs. The Post 778 seniors posted an 18-15 mark for the season. They were man- aged by Kyle Jones, with coaches Scott Rensing and Jay Wellen. The junior division squad fin- ished at 17-16 and placed second in the 23rd District playoffs. They were managed by Mike Scott, with coaches Tim Paulk and Jim Rit- zheimer.
