Wednesday, December 17, 2008 Retirement gifts EARLIER THIS YEAR, GAlL RUTH OF TRENTON retired from Hortica after 14 years at the company. Instead of a company retirement gift, her fellow coworkers donated canned goods and money that was all donated to the Green Bean Food Pan- try on Gail's retirement, September 26. King, White German Shepherd He is a year and half old and not neutered. King will need all his shots and he will also need to be neutered. AI- though turned into animal control as a full blooded white German shepherd, he doesn't quite meet all the breed standards. One thing is for sure he has been a very good dog while in animal control. King grew up on a farm and has never been on a leash, kenneled or tied up. He reminds me an awful lot of Nu- Dog, who as most of you know goes with me everywhere. King was given up because his owner died. He has been around farm animals his whole life so you need not fear him taking chickens or running cattle. The one thing I do need to warn everyone about is heart- worms. We have adopted out several dogs lately who have been heartworm positive. The families that have adopted them did get them treated, but it can be costly. Not one family regretted spending the money. King is one of those dogs that I would spare no cost. He appears to be one of those life long friend dogs. LOST AND FOUND Beagle He is not jaeutered. This guy has a beautiful voice. He is black and tan with a white blaze on his face. He was found in Hazlet State Park. A hunter found him when he got back from a hunt. The beagle made himself at home in the hunter's truck. Terrier / Shepherd mix He is not neutered and has a black and tan coat. He was found in Hoffman. I first thought this guy was a beagle/ shepherd mix until I saw him jump. This guy has a verti- cal jump that would rival any pro-basketball player in the country. For more information call Clinton County Animal Control at 594-4483. Stop the needless killing, spay or neuter your pets.
